20 Minutes Instead of 90: How a Client Uses Our Audit Module
This week we handed over our audit module to one of our clients. A few days later, my colleague Gergő received this feedback from the company's lab manager:
"In my experience, the documentation part went considerably faster than with the spreadsheet-based system, and the end result is much tidier too. Previously I spent an average of 1–1.5 hours putting the spreadsheet together; this time it took about 20–25 minutes."
A third of the time, a tidier result
Documenting a walkthrough went from 60–90 minutes down to 20–25. That's roughly 45 minutes less admin per walkthrough. With several walkthroughs a month, that adds up to hours that can go into real work.
And it's not just faster: the report is built on site, item by item, with photos and risk scores, then sent to the relevant people in a consistent format.
The best part: she found new uses on her own
What really struck me was the second half of the email. According to our client, the audit interface works not only for safety walkthroughs but for environmental ones too. She'd already recorded environmental items during this walkthrough, and in her view the report generated by the system would also hold up well in an ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 system audit.
That's what I love most about digitalization: users experience the efficiency and immediately start thinking about where else it can help them.
We're learning from it too
Until now, we'd positioned the audit module mainly as a safety tool. Our users have shown us it's much more than that: practically any walkthrough can be documented with it.
safety walkthroughs, environmental walkthroughs, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 system audits, 5S and energy walkthroughs, internal inspections in any area.
Templates are customisable, so everything from a detailed, risk-based inspection to a quick rapid walkthrough fits.
